Birthday Cards with Sprinkles
I think it’s better when children make homemade birthday cards for friends and family instead of purchasing them. A six-year-old I look after wanted to try creating birthday cards for her mates using sprinkles. So on a wet day we had a go at making a bunch of cards decorated with sprinkles. We realised not to use liquid glue since the colours from the sprinkles will run. You can use a glue stick or we liked using a low temperature hot glue gun.
You Will Need:
- Newspaper
- Rainbow Sprinkles
- Cardstock Paper
- Low Heat Hot Glue Gun or Glue Stick
Instructions:
- Lay down newspaper to cover the work area.
- Use a low heat hot glue gun to put glue where you want the sprinkles to go on the cardstock. While the glue is still warm and soft, cover with rainbow sprinkles. Let the glue cool.
- Shake off any excess sprinkles onto the newspaper.
- Repeat until the card is covered with sprinkles as desired.
